Welcome to Tarikh Adab Urdu website. We as journalists try to create and share knowledge of Urdu literature and linguistics. We do this to foster ethical and competent readers who are able to adapt and lead in this rapidly changing world. We pursue high ideals in our research and teaching, focusing on the two major traditions of Urdu: literature and linguistics. Our aim is to shed light on society and human conditions by critically reviewing Urdu literature. Further, our aim is to promote Urdu as a language and its practical application in various fields of human life. Both these traditions exist under one roof in Urdu which tries to understand society and human relations and Urdu language through interpretive research methods. I am proud of the way we work individually and collectively as journalists to produce quality research and share knowledge that enables our Urdu scholars to become competent and well-rounded professionals.
