"Language is the main source of communication and expression of ideas and thoughts of the people while, literature is the most effective tool to disclose a person’s emotions and feelings that represents, at large the environment and society around that person. I wish to develop and enlarge language ability in the students and promote a literary interest in creating and expressing their apprehensive through writing."

Professor Dr. Md. Yahya Saba is an Associate Professor in the Department of Urdu at Kirori Mal College. He has a good academic record from the University of Delhi with a Ph.D. Degree in Urdu, specializing in a critical study of Delhi comprising romantic verse. He earned his Master’s Degree with good marks from the University of Delhi.

He has been working as an Associate Professor at Kirori Mal College for approximately seventeen years as a permanent faculty member. He completed two post-doctoral research projects at different times from iconic government institutions in India. His academic research position was as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Delhi, excluding the period of his Doctor of Philosophy Research.

He has published numerous eye-opening, high-quality articles in different international and national Urdu journals, both web and non-web. Some of his books and papers have been published, and others are currently under publication. He is actively engaged in research and contributes significantly to educational innovation.

He continuously strives to be an outstanding professional with an established reputation in the field of Urdu, making a significant contribution to the knowledge in Urdu academia, substantiated by his credentials.

Currently, he is guiding Doctor of Philosophy program scholars in Urdu and is deeply involved in the teaching and learning process to promote comparative studies, research activities, and awareness among scholars. His goal is to enhance communication skills—both writing and speaking—among students and to encourage their participation in research and analytical studies of socio-cultural subjects.
