For Authors

‘Tareekh e Adab e Urdu Quarterly’ is an International Refereed Urdu Journal Publishing since a Long Time Regularly. The aim of the Journal is to Provide Opportunity to Scholars for High Quality Research in Urdu Language and Literature all over the world. The Language of the Journal is Urdu.

Guidelines

  • Tareekh e Adab Urdu (TAU) appreciates scholars, academicians and researchers to submit their Research Papers, Articles, and Reviews in Urdu.
  • The journal will publish Printed/online four times in a year i.e. January, April, July and October. Authors can submit their work all the year. An acceptation message will be sent to the author.
  • TAU will send research papers, articles to the experts before publishing. It may take up to three months.
  • Write a declaration below your paper that it is an original work and has not been published anywhere else or sent for publication.
  • Translation of title in English along with Urdu title. Paper/article must be written in Urdu script.
  • A short bio-note of the Author indicating name, institutional affiliation, brief career history, postal address, mobile number and e-mail, in a single attachment.
  • TAU will appreciate to publish serious academic work contributing new knowledge or innovative critical perspectives on the subject explored.
  • If author want to publish his article elsewhere, he may inform TAU.
  • TAU has right to reject any paper not fulfill criteria of the journal.
  • All articles published have been subjected to a double blind peer review process with 2 or 3 reviews per article.

Editing Requirements

  • Paper size: A4, Margin of 1 inch on all four sides.
  • Font & size: Jameel Noori Nastaaleeq (Ms Word 2003-7) or Inpage Urdu Noori Nastaleeq Font 12.
  • Spacing: Single line.
  • Title of the paper: Centered. Font size 18.
  • References: Don’t use Foot Notes. Instead use End Notes.
  • Format: Articles should be submitted as MS Word attachments or Inpage only. Attach only single file.
  • Length: The paper should not usually exceed 14 pages maximum, 5 pages minimum in single spacing.

مصنفین کے لیے ہدایات

تاریخ ِ ادبِ اردو ایک اعلی تحقیقی جرنل ہے جس کا مقصد اردو میں تحقیق وتنقید کو فروغ دینا ہے۔ اس وجہ سے ’’تاریخ ِ ادبِ اردو‘‘کے لئے نگارشات بھیجنے والے معززقلم کاروں سے گزارش ہے کہ وہ مندرجہ ذیل امور کا خاص طور پر خیال رکھیں:۔

١- مضمون نگار اپنا نام ،عہدہ ،پتہ ،موبائل نمبر اور ای میل مضمون کے شروع یا آخر میں ضرور لکھیں۔

٢- غیر شائع شدہ مضامین ہی ارسال کریں اور مضمون کے غیر مطبوعہ ہونے کی تحریری تصدیق بھی فرمادیں۔

٣- تاریخ ِ ادبِ اردو میں ریسرچ اسکالر کے مضامین بھی شائع کئے جاتے ہیں، ریسرچ اسکالر سے گزارش ہے کہ مضمون ارسال کرنے سے پہلے ایک بار اپنے اساتذہ کو ضرور دکھالیں۔

٤- مضمون نگارحوالوں کی صحت کا خاص خیال رکھیں، بلا حوالہ کوئی بات نہ درج کریں۔

٥- جرنل کے لئے مضمون ارسال کرنے کے بعد اگر مضمون نگار کہیں اور شائع کرانا چاہیں تو اس کی اطلاع ’’تاریخ ِ ادبِ اردو‘‘کو دیں۔

٦- تاریخ ِ ادبِ اردو میں وہی مضامین شائع کئے جائیں گے جو تبصرہ نگاروں کے ذریعہ قابل اشاعت قرار دئے جائیں گے۔

٧- تبصرہ کے لئے صرف کتابیں بھیجیں، ادارہ خود ان پر تبصرہ کرائے گا۔

٨- مضمون ان پیج یا ورڈ کی فائل میں ٹائپ شدہ ہونا چاہئے ۔ پی ڈی ایف فائل یا ہارڈ کاپی قبول نہیں کی جائے گی۔

Ethics Policy

The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal is an essential building block in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge. It is a direct reflection of the quality of work of the author and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. It is therefore important to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior.

Ethics topics to consider when publishing:

Authorship of the paper: Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study.

Originality and plagiarism: The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others that this has been appropriately cited or quoted.

Data access and retention: Authors may be asked to provide the raw data in connection with a paper for editorial review, and should be prepared to provide public access to such data.

Disclosure and conflicts of interest: All submissions must include disclosure of all relationships that could be viewed as presenting a potential conflict of interest.

Fundamental errors in published works: When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the URJ’s editor and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.

Reporting standards: Authors of reports of original research should present an accurate account of the work performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.

پیر ریویو پالیسی

تاریخ ِ ادبِ اردو کی کامیابی کے لیے تبصرہ نگاروں کا کردار بہت اہم ہوتا ہے۔ تبصرہ نگار ہی مقالوں کے معیار کی جانچ کرکے اس کے قابل اشاعت ہونے کی سند دیتے ہیں’’تاریخ ِ ادبِ اردو‘‘چونکہ ایک ریویو جرنل ہے اس وجہ سے کوئی بھی مقالہ شائع کرنے سے پہلے اس کو دو تبصرہ نگاروں کے پاس بلائنڈ ریویو کے لیے بھیجا جاتا ہے۔جس میں مقالہ نگار کا نام اور اس کا عہدہ حذف کردیا جاتا ہے تاکہ تبصرہ نگار کھل کر اپنی رائے دے سکے۔ اس وجہ سے جرنل کے معیار کو بلند کرنے کے لیے ہم ادب کی مختلف اصناف میں مہارت رکھنے والوں کو ’’تاریخ ِ ادبِ اردو‘‘کے لیے تبصرہ نگار بننے کی دعوت دیتے ہیں۔
