Md Rameez Raza Misbahi is a distinguished researcher and scholar, widely recognized for his profound contributions to Urdu language and literature. With a deep-rooted commitment to literary research and publication, his life's work is dedicated to the preservation, promotion, and enrichment of Urdu's linguistic heritage.
His educational journey is a blend of classical religious training and modern academic scholarship. He began his studies with a strong foundation in Islamic sciences, achieving the remarkable early milestone of memorizing the Holy Quran (Hifz). Following this, he enrolled at the prestigious Islamic seminary, Al-Jamiatul Ashrafia, in Mubarakpur, Uttar Pradesh. There, he completed his education up to the rigorous Fazilat (Maulana) degree. His tenure at the seminary was marked by exceptional academic excellence; his intellect and dedication earned him a Merit Scholarship and allowed him to graduate with notable distinction.
Seeking to bridge traditional scholarship with contemporary literary studies, Rameez Raza transitioned to modern academia by joining the Department of Urdu at Delhi University's esteemed Kirori Mal College. This transition allowed him to expand his academic horizons, cultivating a deep, research-oriented insight into the broader landscape of Urdu literature.
Over the past several years, Rameez Raza has established himself as a vital asset in the realm of academic publication. He currently serves as a key member of the editorial and publication team for the internationally recognized quarterly research journal, "Tareekh-e-Adab-e-Urdu." Working under the expert supervision of Professor (Dr.) Muhammad Yahya Saba, he actively shapes the publication's scholarly output. His formidable analytical skills are further evidenced by his own published research work within the journal.
Beyond his formal academic and research pursuits, Rameez Raza is a man of highly versatile talents. He is an accomplished practitioner of Qira'at (the specialized art of Quranic recitation), an engaging Urdu fiction writer (Afsana Nigar), and an eloquent essayist. Furthermore, his strong administrative acumen gives him exceptional command over the editing and management of academic magazines and literary journals.
